JERSEY CITY, NJ – A fatal multi-vehicle crash is under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department. The crash happened on Garfield Avenue on Sunday. Shortly before noon, officers were alerted to a multi-vehicle collision around Garfield Avenue and Wegman Parkway. Multiple damaged vehicles were discovered at the scene, alongside the lifeless body of 36-year-old Jersey City resident, Desiree Milow. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:26 pm. Multiple People Hospitalized in Pennsauken House Fire
PENNSAUKEN, NJ – Early on Sunday morning, the Cherry Hill Fire Department responded to a fire on the 3000 block of Finlaw Avenue in Pennsauken. The incident involved the assistance of multiple local firefighting units. Upon arrival, heavy fire conditions were reported, and an occupant was confirmed to be trapped in the basement. Five occupants were rescued and transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The Pennsauken Fire Marshal’s Office, in conjunction with the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office, is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

Former Monmouth County Correctional Officer Sentenced for Smuggling Drugs
FREEHOLD, NJ – A former officer at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI), Bryant Mack, 55, of Shamong, Burlington County, has been handed a five-year prison sentence. The sentencing was announced by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago on Saturday, following Mack’s guilty plea to a charge of second-degree Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS). The investigation revealed that Mack, during his 18-year tenure as a corrections officer, would smuggle drugs and other items into the facility, hiding them in potato-chip bags. North Arlington woman charged after baby swallows opioid
NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ – Alia Elsafy, a resident of North Arlington, was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child on Thursday. The charges come after an investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the North Arlington Police Department, which revealed that Elsafy allegedly allowed a 6-month-old child access to a suspected opioid that the child then ingested. Elsafy is currently in the Bergen County Jail awaiting her first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
