GEORGETOWN, DE – Police have filed charges against a student who brought a gun to a Delaware high school on Wednesday. A 16-year-old student at Sussex Central High School in Georgetown was arrested after he was found with a handgun on school grounds. A school resource officer at Sussex Central High School was notified by staff at approximately 9:00 a.m. that a student had a firearm at the school. A trooper removed the student from his classroom after contacting him. Inside his backpack, police found an unloaded handgun and ammunition. The gun was confiscated without incident, and he was taken
