Prosecutor who helped convict John Gotti thinks Alvin Bragg let Trump slip from the hook. His memoir proves controversial

Mark Pomerantz is a well-credentialed former federal prosecutor. As a younger man he clerked for a supreme court justice and helped send the mob boss John Gotti to prison. He did stints in corporate law. In 2021, he left retirement to join the investigation of Donald Trump by the Manhattan district attorney. Pomerantz’s time with the DA was substantive but controversial.

In summer 2021, he helped deliver an indictment for tax fraud against the Trump Organization and Alan Weisselberg, its chief financial officer. At the time, Cy Vance Jr, the son of Jimmy Carter’s secretary of state, was Manhattan DA. Pomerantz also interviewed Michael Cohen, Trump fanboy turned convicted nemesis, pored over documents and clamored for the indictment of the former president on racketeering charges.

Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash in Jersey City Under Investigation

JERSEY CITY, NJ – A fatal multi-vehicle crash is under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department. The crash happened on Garfield Avenue on Sunday. Shortly before noon, officers were alerted to a multi-vehicle collision around Garfield Avenue and Wegman Parkway. Multiple damaged vehicles were discovered at the scene, alongside the lifeless body of 36-year-old Jersey City resident, Desiree Milow. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:26 pm. Preliminary findings suggest Milow’s Chevy Tahoe collided with various vehicles along Garfield Avenue before coming to a halt. In total, six vehicles

PENNSAUKEN, NJ – Early on Sunday morning, the Cherry Hill Fire Department responded to a fire on the 3000 block of Finlaw Avenue in Pennsauken. The incident involved the assistance of multiple local firefighting units. Upon arrival, heavy fire conditions were reported, and an occupant was confirmed to be trapped in the basement. Five occupants were rescued and transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The Pennsauken Fire Marshal’s Office, in conjunction with the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office, is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
