WILMINGTON, DELAWARE – Delaware State Police arrested 71-year-old John Austin of Newark, Delaware, for the attempted robbery of a Wilmington area liquor store on Monday night. On March 14th, troopers responded to Clifton Liquors located at 304 Edgemoor Road, Wilmington, for a late reported attempted robbery. The investigation revealed that on the night of March 13th, at around 11:20 p.m., a male suspect approached an employee with a bag over his hand, implied he had a weapon, and demanded money from the cash register. The employee did not comply, and the suspect fled the scene. No injuries were reported during
