Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12200 Beechnut Street
December 16, 2022 – Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 12200 block of Beechnut Street about 1:10 a.m. today.
The identity of the deceased male, 36, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer J. Best reported:
The male was driving a gray Volkswagen Jetta at a high rate of speed. westbound at the above address. The driver failed to maintain a single lane, struck a street sign and several trees. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
A male passenger was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is continuing.
